Mr. Darren Obazu is a Certified Project Manager (PMP) and an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Practitioner with over 20 years of working experience in the IT and Cybersecurity sector. Mr. Obazu has cross functional project management experience on commercial, federal and state projects. He has consulted for NCR, Nigeria LNG, Deloitte and Touch, Compuware Corporation, Satyam Computer Services, ITSolutions, Acentia LLC and Nettek LLC.
He is currently an IT Project manager at Makpar LLC managing one of the company’s Cybersecurity projects on Identity and Access Management (IDAM) at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Mr. Obazu obtained his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Benin (1997) and M.Sc. in Computer and Information Systems from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, MI (2004). In addition to his academic career, are numerous IT certifications which includes Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Systems Engineer (MCSE), Oracle Database Administrator- 11g (DBA), IBM Requirements Analyst, Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL V3), Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He is currently a doctoral candidate in Management, specializing in Management in Information Systems at Walden University. He is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI)Washington DC Chapter, itSMF USA – DC Chapter, and the International Information System Security Certification Consortium, or (ISC)².
Mr. Obazu is the Founder and CEO of Tektrotronics LLC a company focused on excellence in service delivery on IT Service Management infrastructures, Project Management Consulting Services and IT innovation. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Potomac in DC/VA teaching IT and Cybersecurity related classes.
